The return from Siberia was the dream of both the Bar Confederates, the November and January insurgents, and the victims of mass Soviet deportations. However, it did not always mean moving to the homeland. Many deportees in the 1940s had nowhere to return: the borders changed, and their homeland came under the Soviet rule. So it was not a return to the homeland, but only back to their people.
